I am struck so much by the unfortunate display of sadness about the alopecia conversation. I started the HairBlues.me blog 10 years ago, and still, after all this time, women, and I might add, men, and children continue to be troubled by this condition. That’s why the Alopecia industry is such a big industry: wigs, solutions, and potions that promise delivery of new locks. When you find a moment, listen to my brief podcast about this challenge.

We can get to the moon, but we have not solved this problem yet – unless we accept that “beauty” comes in all forms. The sooner we get in touch with that the sooner we will not find ourselves witnessing painful incidents of what is pre-determined as “beauty” by how one’s hair grows and looks.
I always want to share when I have an ‘aha’ moment and I think the information is something people can use for their well-being and wellness regimen. So, when I heard that caffeine could help with headaches, I just had to find out how could that be true. It certainly was counter intuitive.
When you have a moment, listen to my brief explanation on my podcast: Judith Guerra Wellness Connections – Episode #34 for details about this topic. In addition, you can use the links provided in this post for your own research.

I often preface information presented on my blogs and podcasts that you check with a medical professional to assess your medical care when exploring other methodologies for your well-being and wellness regimen.
Are you aware that The National Headache Foundation has been in existence over the past 52 years? Learn more about them at this link: https://headaches.org/about/
At the website link below, I learned that women have more headaches than men through their lives. For example, between ages 21 and 34, the prevalence of headaches is 92% in women and 74% in men – and older people have fewer headaches. As you no doubt know, there are 5 major senses: Smell, Sight, Hearing, Taste and Touch.

Based on recent observations, I believe that COVID-19 has sparked a new interest in the role smell can play in our well-being.
As a Certified Aromatherapist, I am trained in the role that aromatic tools can be used to assist in an individual’s wellness regimen. In fact, it is currently one of methods used in Integrative Medicine, which complements a person’s conventional medical program. Not as a replacement but in addition to. Users of Aromatherapy are advised to check with their doctors before engaging in these methods.
The selection of information and websites to guide you in using these methods safely is substantial. Click the links below to learn more

I had the pleasure of being a guest on a podcast with Amy Anthony, who is the creator of https://nycaromatica.com/
Amy says her passion is “plant-based, well-care modalities“, and that it is “closest to her heart”.
That is what I recognized when I first took a class with Amy Anthony at the former New York Institute of Aromatherapy.
I was actually “hooked” by Amy’s passion for plants and essential oils. Her knowledge base is extensive. She lights up the room with her “plant energy“.
Amy is a certified clinical aromatherapist. She has studied Herbalism, and has an in-depth “poetic” knowledge of plants. One of the places she teaches is the New York Botanical Gardens. The list is long of her accomplishments, and I encourage you to visit her website.
When you have an opportunity listen to our conversation.
You can also listen to this podcast on Apple and other platforms.
In this episode of The Wellness Connections, I give you a description of a gentle “aromatic medicine” Hydrosols. When you have a free moment listen to what they are and how they can be used for your well-being journey.

Can I find a comfortable mask as the weather warms up? I am wondering how to address this ‘safety‘ requirement, as we enter the warmer months. I have some info for you on that subject below. The CDC recommends that unless you are outside and away from others, wearing a mask is advised. Both your mouth and nose should be covered. This is for your own safety, and for the protection and respect of others and their well-being.
The CDC insists that masks protect us. Even those persons who have received the vaccines are cautioned to continue mask wearing. Below are more guidelines from the CDC website. – If people are not living in your household, a mask should be worn. Even youngsters who are 2 years old should have a mask on in the home when they are around people who do not live in the household, also they should wear one in public. – Wear a mask on the train, airplanes, buses – public transportation. – Wear a mask inside your home if someone you live with is sick with symptoms of COVID-19 or has tested positive for COVID-19.
Wearing a mask is likely going to be more of a challenge in getting comfortable during warmer weather. I searched the wwwfor recommendations on the ‘best’ lightweight masks.
Oftentimes Cancer patients face challenge with their skin and beauty care caused by the chemo, radiation, and scarring, among other things. The treatments can cause issues women may not be familiar with, nor, how to manage them. I searched the www for some support on how to manage some of the difficulties women face for which there is support.

How are you sleeping these days? Recently I have had some issues with getting a ‘good nights sleep’, and I am not the only one I know who is having this problem in Covid19 times.
Lack of ‘Beauty Sleep’, seems to be the least of our concerns these days as we attempt to figure out how to live and prepare our lives, and family members safely for this challenging Covid19 period.
