At the Essential 3website I found detailed information and guidelines for using essential oils, and I think that it is worth telling you about my “find”. Click the link below when you find a moment.
I am a graduate of the Aromatic Studies programs as a Certified Aromatherapist and Trainer.

One of the results of the Pandemic (COVID19) has been to draw our attention to our sense of smell in a big way. This has caused an onslaught of articles and discussions about aromatherapy and the benefits of using our sense of smell. The medical community has even brought the methods of using aromatic methods to their patients. And the beauty community has a newfound interest in the benefits we can gain from exploring the plant world where we can find therapeutic benefits from including them in our well-being program.
In this post, I am featuring Amy Anthony, (website NYCAromatica) and her classes, which are among the best. I am a NAHAcertified aromatherapist who has taken many classes in order to learn about the best and most safe methods for using essential oils and integrative medicinal methods as part of my wellness regimen. Some years ago, I had the pleasure to have Amy Anthony as one of my teachers at the New York Institute of Aromatherapy (closed now due to the Pandemic).
Amy has a website filled with aromatherapy solutions, potions, and a “poetic” method of providing this service to you. Take a look at her website to enjoy the many facets of aromatic wellness techniques and ideas to include them in your wellness regimen for therapeutic benefits.
Amy Anthony is modest in her explanation “About” herself. These are a few thoughts about what I think she offers in her training and consultations. 1) An aficionada’s grasp of the subject matter. 2) Clarity and ease of communicating – even in the more complex materials. 3) A certain generosity of spirit in her communication.
I have often posted here that in order to get the most therapeutic benefit from essential oils, it is important/necessary to “dilute” them with a “carrier oil”.
Below is a video that Amy Galper prepared to explain how to dilute essential oils with a carrier oil, or other option. What is 5% dilution? Amy gives you guidelines on how to understand what to do.
Take a look at Amy’s Youtube video – and then subscribe to her channel to learn more about essential oils and other well-being topics.
Recently my thoughts and talk are focused toward living with a more informed knowledge base about essential oils, which is different from looking at the bottle and sniffing the scent. There is so much more to know about these gifts to us from the planet. Sustainability awareness is also important when we use these gifts for enhancing our Well-being and Wellness regimen.
In upcoming segments on my Wellness Connections Podcast, as well as, in this blog I will share new ideas that I am exploring in learning about the safe and best methods to use essential oils. This includes websites, blogs, and books. For this month’s contribution, I’d like to introduce you to the recent book by Jade Shutes, “The Carrier Oil Palette”. I like to describe her as a Wellness polymath.
Listen to a brief description on my podcast why this carrier oils book is important for essential oil users.

Do you know where Carrier Oils come from?
As a Level 1 NAHA Certified Aromatherapist/Trainer, I have come to understand that what I contribute is a knowledge base providing methods, which can be used to enhance the proper use of essential oils.

As you no doubt know, there are 5 major senses: Smell, Sight, Hearing, Taste and Touch.

Based on recent observations, I believe that COVID-19 has sparked a new interest in the role smell can play in our well-being.
As a Certified Aromatherapist, I am trained in the role that aromatic tools can be used to assist in an individual’s wellness regimen. In fact, it is currently one of methods used in Integrative Medicine, which complements a person’s conventional medical program. Not as a replacement but in addition to. Users of Aromatherapy are advised to check with their doctors before engaging in these methods.
The selection of information and websites to guide you in using these methods safely is substantial. Click the links below to learn more.
I had the pleasure of being a guest on a podcast with Amy Anthony, who is the creator of https://nycaromatica.com/
Amy says her passion is “plant-based, well-care modalities“, and that it is “closest to her heart”.
That is what I recognized when I first took a class with Amy Anthony at the former New York Institute of Aromatherapy.
I was actually “hooked” by Amy’s passion for plants and essential oils. Her knowledge base is extensive. She lights up the room with her “plant energy“.
Amy is a certified clinical aromatherapist. She has studied Herbalism, and has an in-depth “poetic” knowledge of plants. One of the places she teaches is the  New York Botanical Gardens. The list is long of her accomplishments, and I encourage you to visit her website.
When you have an opportunity listen to our conversation.
You can also listen to this podcast on Apple and other platforms.
In this episode of The Wellness Connections, I give you a description of a gentle “aromatic medicine” Hydrosols. When you have a free moment listen to what they are and how they can be used for your well-being journey.

How are you sleeping these days? Recently I have had some issues with getting a ‘good nights sleep’, and I am not the only one I know who is having this problem in Covid19 times.
Lack of ‘Beauty Sleep’, seems to be the least of our concerns these days as we attempt to figure out how to live and prepare our lives, and family members safely for this challenging Covid19 period.

Sleep has been determined as therapeutic to our wellbeing. It supports a healthy immune system; physical health; emotional wellness, and more.
