Each year I post about things we should do to protect our skin from the lovely SUN. Well, May 6, 2024 is Melanoma Monday. This month I will continue to post various information that you should pay attention to when guarding your beautiful skin. Click the links below to learn more.
By now some of you may have purchased the 2nd issue of Better Magazine, which was created by Dr. Jen Ashton. In Segment #3, on this blog, I commented on her first issue of the magazine, which you can read about at this link https://hairblues.me/2023/06/19/living-with-the-book-segment-3/. I always have news you can use 🙂
I assure you this is a magazine you want in your reading pile. The topics provide guidelines on how to live your best healthful life.
Have you thought about Plastic Surgery? Well, if your answer is yes, you will want to read what her “Core Expert” has to say about things you should consider. It is an article you can trust because Dr. Ashton reveals that her brother is a “renowned reconstructive plastic surgeon“… Do you want advice on how to get more sleep, or what foods you should have in your diet? Do you want to look younger at any age? What is “Exercise Snacking“? These are just some of the topics that you can look forward to reading. And there is a lot more.
In addition, I hear Dr. Jen Ashton is coming out with a 3rd issue of her Better Magazine in May 2024.
I saw Dr. Youn on the Tamara Hall show, and found out that he is a believer in using “natural” methods for long term beauty regimens. He does sell beauty products, which I am happy to inform you he reports to be “cruelty-free”.
I share his website with you because at HairBlues we try to help you find good beauty products.
November is a time of year where many holidays are celebrated from various cultures. With that said, this is also Native American Heritage Month. I am happy to bring you information about Native American Beauty companies.
Here’s an excerpt from Womens Health website about these beauty products. …The majority of these Indigenous and Native American makeup, skincare, and body care brands, there’s a focus on ingredients found directly in nature and sustainable practices to harvest those ingredients and package the products. Utilizing natural herbs, oils, and extracts (like sage, tea tree, and lavender) is key for Indigenous communities, who live in communion with the land they’re on and incorporate nature into many of the medicinal practices that have been in their families for centuries. Many of the products are handmade by the founders, too.
Read the details at the link below for a list of these sustainable beauty products.
Each year on HairBlues, during October, I show information regarding Breast Cancer Awareness with advice on various beauty options available to those who want support in their daily ”looking and feeling good” confidence whilst they proceed through the various challenges of chemotherapy, radiation and all those many days of journeying and taking those steps with the courage that leads to Wellness again.
