Essential Oils are all the rage among people who are looking for ‘natural’ remedies to aid with all sorts of health and beauty needs. As some of you are already aware, I am an Aromatherapy – Enthusiast, which has led me to explore learning more about these oils, that come from flowers, plants, seeds and roots.
The National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA), of which I am a recent member, suggest some safety guidelines before applying these oils to your skin. NAHA also states that Hydrosols are effective toners. Hydrosols are less concentrated forms of the essential oils.
Recently, I read that Carrot Seed Oil is good for ‘rejuvenating’ the skin, and it helps with wrinkles. A ‘safer way’ to explore using essential oils for the first time is to try an already made hydrosol, or make a hydrosol spray of your own using distilled water, plus 20 drops of the essential oil. Shake and spray on your skin :). Take a moment to read about this Carrot Seed Hydrosol, I found at Nature’s Gifts Website.
- Carrot Seed Hydrosol is the hydrosol of choice for aging skin. Carrot Seed Essential Oil is recommended for treating wrinkles, scar tissue, etc., so it stands to reason that the hydrosol would be recommended for the same uses. Carrot Seed Hydrosol makes a wonderful toner or gentle cleanser for mature skin. It is a great base for a homemade face cream.Source: Nature’s Gift | Aromatherapy Products | Carrot Seed Hydrosol
